Your Profile
Your BTG Profile is more than just an online version of your resume. The best way to ensure you are considered for project opportunities is to update your profile periodically to reflect your most recent experiences and any new skills.

How We Contact You
Once you have logged in and completed your BTG Talent Profile, you are actively considered for projects that are a fit for your experience, skills, and availability. There are two primary ways we contact you about projects.
- If your profile is a match for a project need, our Client Service team will email you directly via FirstLook® by sending an email with a project overview and link to apply.
- You can also view and apply for current BTG project opportunities in the BTG Talent Portal. These are real projects that have been vetted and scoped with real clients by our Client Service team.
Whether you apply via email or from the Talent Portal, our Client Service team personally reviews your responses to evaluate whether there is a good fit for the project and the client. If there is a mutual fit, our team will reach out to you directly to discuss next steps.
Project Frequency
Please note, all projects are based on client demand and project requirements—your skills, background, pricing, and geography all play a role. We encourage all consultants to consider us as one avenue for sourcing project work.
Whether you are on a project with us or not, BTG wants to support you in your independent consulting practice. Visit the Project Resources section to learn more!
Requirements for Projects
Most Business Talent Group (BTG) projects require that you have a legal entity and it is best practice for successful independent consultants to contract through a legal entity.
When you apply for a BTG project through First Look® or from the Projects tab, you will see whether a project requires contracting through a legal entity. You will also be asked to provide or confirm your legal entity information for projects when a legal entity is required.
If you want to position yourself for all relevant opportunities with BTG clients, we highly recommend creating a legal entity that best suits your business needs if you do not already have one.
