Predicting client needs is difficult, but connecting the right consultant to the right project is a BTG core competency. We reach out to you only when a project is relevant to your skills and preferences.
We hope to partner with you on an engagement in the future. In the meantime, follow our tips for an effective BTG profile and guides for your BTG project applications and executive summary to help us connect you with exciting project opportunities.
And be sure to leverage your other channels for work beyond BTG. While BTG is a great resource for increasing your project flow, it should not be the only avenue you use. Here are a few tips:
- Refresh your LinkedIn profile regularly to note new skills and experience, and be sure to identify that you are looking for independent project work.
- Stay in close contact with satisfied clients and former employers. They are your best source for future work, whether through referrals or repeat engagements.
- Get involved with affinity networks, such as undergraduate and post-graduate alumni groups and professional associations.
- Expand your ecosystem of professional connections. Use social media to connect with colleagues and build industry ties.
- Ask your connections for introductions to specific people and explain why you want to network with them. Be prepared to provide introductions in exchange.
